Dear Readers,

A few years ago, I came across Qafila, a collective of psychotherapists and academics based in Delhi.

The collective offers psychotherapy, hosts reading circles, listening circles, and workshops.

Qafila is elated to invite you to our first event of Qafila Fest, titled “Mental health, Neurodiversity & Social Justice: Beyond Clinical Gaze“.

What: This talk will discuss how socio-political structures influence mental illness. Consequently, ethical approaches to working with mental health must keep in mind the lived experiences of social groups.

Her research draws on a range of disciplines, including anthropology, gender studies, disability studies, and more. She has recently co-authored the book titled “Rethinking Disability, Care, and Motherhood: Lived Experiences of Disabled Mothers in India”. She has also received several grants.
