The Psychoanalytic Hub for Online Liberatory (also known as P-HOLE) is proud to announce its first in-person educational event: TransPollinations: Putting Psychoanalysis to Work—A Counter-Conference.

TransPollinations is P-HOLE’s first Counter-Conference, explicitly offered as a counter to a “professional development event” being mounted in New York City by Therapy First, which many consider to be a trans-skeptical, if not trans-antagonistic organization. (Therapy First is the rebrand of the Gender Exploratory Therapy Association [GETA], which you can read about here. For a critical assessment of the gender exploratory therapy model, go here and here.)

TransPollinations brings together psychoanalysts, other mental health practitioners, leading scholars in trans studies and queer studies, activists, medical professionals, artists, and legal scholars, to generate new and better conversations about trans lives.

The event, which is being held in NYC, is in-person only and will take place on the same weekend as the Therapy First event: Oct. 17 and 18, 2026. We will kick it off with a performance on the evening of Oct. 16 by trans artist Kris Grey
