The Australian Psychoanalytical Society’s Annual Conference Open Days, will be held in Adelaide, South Australia, on 29–30 August 2026.

This year’s theme, Minds Under Siege: Dehumanization & Reparation, brings together leading clinicians and thinkers to explore the psychoanalytic dimensions of contemporary clinical care in severe disturbances involving dehumanisation, alongside social challenges. Highlights include a keynote address by psychoanalyst and writer Paul Williams, and a special afternoon “In Conversation” session with Nobel Prize-winning author J. M. Coetzee.

For those joining from outside South Australia, the Saturday sessions will be accessible online.
