In an increasingly polarised world, how can we learn to engage across difference: with others, within ourselves, and within our communities? What do we have to bear—and what do we have to honour—in order to relate meaningfully and respectfully across the divides that shape our world?

The 2026 TaSC Conference invites participants to explore how we might cultivate more peaceful, cooperative, and understanding ways of relating—ways in which difference becomes a source of creativity and learning rather than conflict.

We will draw together insights from in-depth therapeutic practice and social justice practices, bridging psychological and political perspectives to consider what solidarity across difference truly requires.

Two Ways to Join

The conference is hybrid: you can attend in person at Roehampton University in London, or online from anywhere. Choose the option that works for you.

In-person (London): You’ll be taken to the University of Roehampton’s booking system. The event is at Roehampton University’s Elm Grove Conference Centre. You may need to create an account first; allow a few minutes to complete your registration.

Online: You’ll be taken to Onlinevents to book your place. Join from anywhere with tiered pricing (£25 / £37 / £50; student £15 with code).
